Easily make your own pumpkin flour at home with just fresh pumpkin. Perfect for baking and adds a rich, earthy sweetness to your dishes.

Ingredients

  • Fresh pumpkin

Instructions

  1. Begin by washing and cutting your pumpkin into halves, removing the seeds and stringy insides.
  2. Cut the pumpkin into smaller pieces for easier dehydration.
  3. Place the pumpkin pieces on a dehydrator tray and set the dehydrator to 125°F (52°C).
  4. Dehydrate for about 6-12 hours, or until fully dried and crisp.
  5. Once dried, let the pieces cool and then blend them in a blender or food processor until a fine powder forms.
  6. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dark place.

Notes

For best results, choose sugar pumpkins as they are sweeter. Ensure the pumpkin is dry before blending for a fine texture.
