  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 6 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil for garnish

  1. Add ground beef, onion, and garlic to the slow cooker. Cook on high for 120 minutes or low for 240 minutes until the meat is cooked through.
  2. Stir in crushed tomatoes, beef broth, and Italian seasoning. Cook for another 60 minutes on high or 120 minutes on low.
  3. Add the uncooked pasta to the slow cooker and cook for an additional 30 minutes on high or 60 minutes on low until the pasta is tender.
  4. Stir in ricotta cheese and sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top. Cover and let it melt, about 5-10 minutes.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

For best flavor, consider browning the beef first. Use high-quality beef broth and feel free to add extra veggies or spices.
