A simple, no-pectin raspberry freezer jam recipe that results in a vibrant and delicious treat perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups fresh raspberries
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Prepare the raspberries: Wash and gently dry the raspberries. Mash them in a bowl using a fork or potato masher. You can leave some chunks if you like a bit of texture.
  2. Mix with sugar: In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed raspberries with the sugar. Stir well and let it sit for about 10 minutes until the sugar starts to dissolve.
  3. Add lemon juice: Pour in the fresh lemon juice and mix thoroughly. The mixture will become glossy as the sugar dissolves.
  4. Transfer to containers: Carefully pour the raspberry mixture into clean, freezer-safe containers. Leave some space at the top for the jam to expand as it freezes.
  5. Freeze: Seal the containers and place them in the freezer. They can be stored for up to a year!

Notes

Use fresh, ripe raspberries for the best taste. You can substitute with other berries like strawberries or blueberries.
