Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 slices of bread
  • 1 cup of cooked steak, sliced
  • 1/2 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 onion, sliced
  • 2 slices of provolone cheese
  • Butter for grilling
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a little butter.
  2. Add the sliced bell pepper and onion, sautéing until softened. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Remove the vegetables from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, place one slice of bread, layer with steak, sautéed vegetables, and provolone cheese, then top with the second slice of bread.
  5. Grill until golden brown and the cheese is melted, flipping once.
  6. Serve hot.

Notes

For a crispy texture, make sure to toast the bread in butter on both sides and do not overcrowd the pan.
