A delightful way to bring a touch of springtime into your home with sweet, floral-infused sugar.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh lilac blossoms
  • 1 cup granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Rinse the lilac blossoms gently to remove any dirt or small insects.
  2. Pat the blossoms dry with a clean towel.
  3. In a clean jar, layer 1 cup of sugar with 1 cup of fresh lilac blossoms.
  4. Seal the jar tightly and shake it gently to mix the sugar and blossoms.
  5. Store the jar in a cool, dark place for at least 3-5 days, allowing the sugar to absorb the floral scent.
  6. After infusing, you can strain out the blossoms if desired or leave them in for a decorative touch.

Notes

Use fresh, pesticide-free lilacs for the best flavor. Consider adding a pinch of salt or lemon zest for extra flavor.
