A comforting dish combining caramelized onions, tender meatballs, and gooey Gruyère cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh bread or mashed potatoes for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook them until they caramelize, about 15-20 minutes.
  2. Combine the ground turkey with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Shape the mixture into meatballs.
  3. Push the caramelized onions to one side of the skillet. Place the meatballs in the other side and brown them on all sides.
  4. Pour the beef broth into the skillet and bring everything to a simmer.
  5. Sprinkle the Gruyère cheese over the meatballs, cover the skillet, and let it cook until the meatballs are fully cooked, and the cheese has melted.
  6. Serve hot, paired with fresh bread or creamy mashed potatoes.

Notes

Consider adding fresh herbs like thyme for extra depth.
